    InDesign and premiere pro are two software programs that can help you create something that you envision. There are many components that make the two programs very helpful to someone who is trying to create an idea. InDesign will help me with my portfolio project while making the magazine. It has a lot of components that allow you to creatively make lots of different things like flyers brochures and booklets. A few of these are the ability to link content into your projects, and digitally publish your work. In my opinion it is a very good program for anyone to use. 

 

    Premiere pro is another software program that helps an idea come to life in a different way than InDesign. Premiere pro allows you to crate movies, clips, films, or videos in an easy creative way. It has advanced editing techniques that makes merging and editing small video clips so simple, and just about anyone can learn how to do it. Creativity plays a big part in this just as it does in InDesign, or any other editing software. In my opinion it is a really great program to use. 

 

    In the article “Our Place in the Universe: The Importance of Story and Storytelling in the Classroom”, it talks about storytelling and the different things that go into it that are important. The author states “critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity go hand in hand with storytelling projects in the classroom,”. As shown here, things like InDesign and premiere pro are useful for helping story telling. They contribute to the ability to have creativity in your projects which is important in the process. Along with this, the collaboration part is very important when creating a story. The article states “Although a wonderful thing about storytelling projects is their ability to be completed in groups, collaboration,”. This allows for multiple view points and sources of ideas to come together to help create an interesting story that can help reach a bigger audience. 

 

    In the article “Survival of the fittest: four editors on the future of literary magazines”, it talks about how people nowadays aren't interested in reading magazines and long articles like they used to. It states “the literary audience can't buy a couple of subscriptions so much as the question of why they don't. And why do some of the ones I do subscribe to sit on the nightstand unopened? I know they're going to be really great, but I don't crack them,”. This just goes to show that by using InDesign and premiere pro, it allows for the authors and publishers to make their magazines and films or clips interesting, or something that the reader or viewer would really enjoy opening and looking at.
